Was going to go see him in concert on Saturday, but had family in town and was unable to go. I listened to this album so much to "pre-game" for the show, and I love it. He's an entertaining guy, for sure.

Yellow Swans - Descension Yellow Swans
Warm, vibrant noise-drone that sounds like it's wrapping a blanket around your mind. Small guitar and percussive textures occasionally seep through, but it's generally just a heavy, barbed-wire drone with melodic elements reaching it every so often. Fans of Tim Hecker, early Fuck Buttons and the like will probably find something to enjoy in this visceral yet ambient excursion... |
