T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou - Reminiscin' in Tempo: African Dancefloor Classis <-- Not a spelling error, it is indeed "Classis".
Really cool African Popular Music with the lengthy compositions that recall Fela Kuti, only this is far more fun and celebratory, rather than Kuti's fun but often intense and draining music. Awesome brass/sax all around with some really fun harmonies. The kind of music where you can't understand a single word yet it still somehow makes you feel glad to be alive. A taste (not on the album as I couldn't find one on YouTube, but it's still somewhat indicative of the group's sound: |
