Behind Kick Out the Jams and If You Want Blood You've Got It, this here's my favourite live album ever.

o f i like Aftertaste a lot also....i just feel it was kind of a change of direction for the band...and i enjoy the raw noise of Strap It On and Betty a bit more....actually i think i'll put on Aftertaste....its been years

The Black Heart Procession - Blood Bunny/Black Rabbit

three new songs in very BHP style....heavy piano, moog, saw, rhythmic, and bleak dark lyrics....good stuff

but the remixes are insane....and polar opposite of what i was expecting....the song more like early Nine Inch Nails and early Foetus (like the soundtracks he did for Richard Kern and Nick Zedd)...very interesting

The Telescopes - Taste
What an incredibly mind-blowing album. This album combines the noise and feedback of J&MC and the spaciness of Spacemen 3 with the intensity and snarl of punk rock. Brilliant stuff.

Yes. Yes, yes, yes.

Oil Seed Rape, for example, is a great song. Remarkable intensity.

Hypnos 69 - Legacy (2010)

I was afraid that I would ever hear a new progressive rock band that took its main influence from the '60's and '70's scene, but Hypnos 69 can put that fear to rest. The band is very much a throwback to the old days and while I could go on and complain that they are living in the past, they at least do the past justice. This is a band that intimately knows the sound it wants and has achieved it tenfold. If I had no prior knowledge to the band I would have seriously thought of this as an album from that era. Laced with psychedelic fuzzy tones, jazzy horn sections, and instrument experimentation and solos this is an album for anyone who enjoys progressive rock.

Ditto. And hey, some investigation tells me they are from Belgium. :thumb:

Second listen now, after downloading it what seems like a few months ago. Sounds like Biohazard - especially the intro track - but at the same time doesn't sound like a rip-off. I like. Definitely NY Hardcore influenced though.

I can't make that guarantee, this is an album I'm digging, if you try it and dig it then good, if it doesn't float your boat then great.

it's weird to listen to this album and then directly listen to "The Shape Of Punk To Come"

sidewinder 11-04-2010 05:59 PM

Yeah maybe I'll put that on tomorrow or tonight. :D

debaserr 11-04-2010 08:26 PM
