While to many, it's going to sound like another IDM/Post-Rock fusion album, but this one reminds me of this creepy antenna TV my aunt used to have, and there was this one channel that never did anything but display some weird nonsense and play droney noises. The memory of that TV station still haunts me this very day.

Actually that was a locally operated music channel that played low-quality videos of Sun O))) in concert.

Alternate Post:
And thus, Dayvan recounts for the forum her first experience with drone music.

Sometimes there are too many shots and too few posts to make them in.

We'll need to get a 'Behind The Scenes' section.

João Gilberto - João Gilberto

Sometimes too little tension seems to ruin records - here, I feel absolutely NO tension, and somehow it's rubbing off onto me quite nicely. I suppose the conclusion you could draw from this is that either you need to be very contrasting, or not at all in order to win my favor. Anyways, it predates indie pop's dreamy sensations and does so with very repetitive structures, soothing vocals, and pulsating tropical rhythms. Perhaps a bit monotonous, but I'm really enjoying it.

Bradford Cox comes across as mildly pretentious, but I will admit that the kid knows what he's doing on this album.

Still the best cover album out there. Nothing Else Mattered after this (yes there is a slight pun). side 2 is where it's at.

Nasty stuff, loved it and will hence probably end up getting everything Albini-related ever made.

Neil Young - After the Gold Rush

It's odd... Everyone Knows was a huge miss, but I find After the Gold Rush fantastic

Cliche I know, but this is definitely someone I think everyone should have SOMETHING by at the very least. I could probably listen to 'Kiss' and 'Sometimes It Snows in April' the rest of my life and never get tired of either.

Oliver Nelson - Blues and the Abstract Truth
sooner or later, I always seem to get back to this album .The line-up on the cover speaks for itself, but this is just one of the best examples of post-bop that there is.
