Bitte Orca-Dirty Projectors
I was taken aback by how pretty a lot of it actually is upon repeated listens.

I suddenly had this compulsive desire to listen to Black Arabs, and seem to have got sucked into it.
A heap of shit, but an entertaining heap of shit.

Shining - Blackjazz (2010)

A noisy chaotic piece of brilliance, has a great cover of "21st Century Schizoid Man. Definitely not for everyone though.

^^Oh yeah, that's the band from your compilation I liked very, very much. Did you choose the song from this album? If so, then I need to hear the whole thing.

Yes it is, I haven't really looked beyond Blackjazz in the band's discography. I'm just revisiting all of the metal albums from 2010 so I can begin construction of my "best of" list.

I'm really enjoying both Carlee Hendrix & the Whole Earth Catalog EP's that I got today (The Northbound EP, Snow Cones For A Week). She has a gorgeous voice and the acoustic guitar is so relaxing and well done. Love the lyrics too.

A few albums currently on high rotation at the moment

Yo La Tengo - May I Sing With Me
They always manage to sound so humble and laid-back. Ira's vocal style and guitar sounds create a nice bittersweet feel.

Sleater-Kinney - Dig Me Out
I'm really loving this band lately. This album is certainly one of their best, full of energy, emotion and great songwriting.

Pale Saints - The Comforts Of Madness
A brilliant album from start to finish, the highlight being the gorgeous 'Sea Of Sound'. This album badly needs a re-master though as it sounds a bit washed-out.
