3. Bjork: Debut

My experience with Bjork has been retrograde. I started off with the later albums and had to acclimate myself to them. But lately I've been moving backwards and really appreciating where it came from. The timbre of her voice is more vibrant but less refined. I dig it. "Play Dead"

2. As Tall As Lions : As Tall As Lions

Mixing latin grooves, dissonant guitar parts, haunting but enchanting vocal harmonies and lyrical stylings of Brandon Boyd and George Harrison doesn't come around easily but these guys nail it. Seductive, Entrancing, Poetic and yet still driving. "Song For Luna"

3. Less Than Jake : Anthem

Can't help but throw back to my punk roots. One of the later, more produced albums but the melodies, gritty guitar parts, horn arrangements and catchy hooks gets me amped every ****in time. Great for parties, driving, skankin' and any reason you can think of to get yourself in a good mood. "Best Wishes to Your Black Lung"

Unsane—"Occupational Hazard"
I don't know where I was or what I was doing that I missed this album back when it came out ten years ago, but man is it good. Wikipedia describes them as noise rock. iTunes lists them as stoner metal. They sound like hardcore to me. But whatever you label them as, this album is some really badass music.

The Stand Ins...Okkervil River

From thinking it was mediocre on first listen I'm how completely obsessed. I think it takes time to get past Will's voice to hear what he is actually saying and the feelings that he is expressing. He has some sad tales to tell.

Fave track...'On Tour with Zykos' and 'Bruce Wayne Campbell'

Endtroducing...DJ Shadow

I never get tired of this album. It burrows into my brain and its a fabulous destresser as well as a good one to put on when studying.

Fave tracks, What does your soul look like pt 4 and Mutual Slump

Prisoners of Love...Yo la Tengo

I love the fuzz guitar in some tracks and the soft voice of the lead. I love the variety and the very comfortable sound of it all.

Fave tracks By the time it gets dark (beautiful cover!) Little Eyes and Big Day Coming.

Paul McCartney's 'Memory Almost Full'. It's a surprisingly good album actually - highly recommended

That's it. Don't let that put you off though, there are some cracking songs on there.

Janet Jackson - Control (1986)

You can take your Sgt Pepper's, your OK Computers' and your Queen Is Deads' and shove them up your jacksy, because this is better, basically.

The Move - The Very Best of the Move

I can proudly say this is a CD, unfortunately their albums are impossible to find on the poxy internet. I'm sure/hoping The Hammer will agree when I say the Move pissed on the Stones from a great height and made the Beatles look like hacks.

The Gun Club - Fire of Love

Should have added this to the other thread, because i never, ever get sick of this album. It's.... good.

Is that the new one.

I'm tempted to get that , which is kind of ironic really when you take into account I ****ing hate ELO.
