The Sorrows - Take a Heart

really awesome garage/freakbeat album from 1965. Been enjoying this one a year or so maybe. I think I included a song in one of the MB comps last fall or earlier this year.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Incredible album, started listening to it compulsively as of late, even if I've known and enjoyefd it for a while. I'm absolutely puzzled as to why this album wasn't a ridiculously successful hit, every song on it seems like an extremely catchy, well crafted, foppish single.

I've really been digging on this album lately. Prior to getting a copy (which was naturally acquired for novelty purposes) I was familiar only with two songs, (Tip-Toe Through the Tulips and Livin' In the Sunlight, Lovin' In the Moonlight) and thought the whole album would be horrid and cheesy.

Strangely, I've just been thinking of it in a more serious light, and this album makes for some really great listening. I'm actually a fan of the record.

Got a few more to add... Don't forget Telescopes! They're often noisier and harsher than most of the other shoegaze bands but easily as good. Solar Coaster mixed punk and shoegaze in a ridiculously enjoyable way. And if you haven't heard them, Medicine are good as well. Don't miss some of the other newer bands too like Candy Claws and A Sunny Day in Glasgow.

Cephalic Carnage - Misled by Certainty
These hydro-grinders inflict another bitch-slap against all those death/grind wannabe's. This may not be Celphalic Carnage's best, but other than Napalm Death, no grinder has been as good.

Waitan - Lawless Darkness
Latest from the old school 2nd wave black metal band with playing ability far surpasing the old guard. I particularly enjoy the drumming and guitar work.

An album which embodies raw emotion, whether it's love or hate - it doesn't compromise, there's no inbetween. Such a great great album.

The Boy Wonders is one of the best songs of all time. True story.

I love that album carnally. Might just give it a whirl again now actually...
