It's funny I loved that album last year but I hated the vocals. The music was already haunting and depressive enough, the vocals were a little overkill for me. In fact I remember trying to find a program where I could separate all the tracks from each other and remove the vocals and just leave it as instrumentals.

^^ Really? I have the opposite view, because I think the vocals are what solidifies the album and makes it perfect. But the vocals are really painfully depressing though, so I can see where you're coming from. Then again, it is DSBM, lol

^^^^^That's my favorite Cocteau Twins album. Whenever I feel like listening to them, I put that one on.
This is a very good album. I like Liars quite a bit, they're becoming one of my favorite bands of this past decade.

Primal Scream - Xtrmntr (2000) Again... Holy. Fucking. Shit. This album kicks so much ass its feet permanently smell of fart. It's funky, catchy, poppy, rough, crude (at times), insightful, and many other adjectives. I can't believe I slept on this album for so long. |
