My second TMG album is downloading, All Hail West Texas. If it's as good as The Sunset Tree I'll be very happy.
They have 17 studio albums, there's potential there for this lot to become a favourite band.
Can't wait to discover more stuff by them.

All Hail West Texas is brilliant, I'm sure you'll love it, especially if you love The Sunset Tree. (The Mountain Goats a favorite band of mine). Tallahassee is stellar as well. After that I would recommend Zopilote Machine and Sweden.

Thanks for the recommendations for the next MG album, but if I'm honest - I think I'm going to get them all. I'm enjoying All Hail West Texas, they seem like a band I'd like. Lo-fi Indie Folk.

That's rough, but understandable.
I know plenty of people who can only take so much of their style.

I think The Sunset Tree would be the better first album to get IMO. It has their most popular song and it's probably my favourite by them.

Definitely the Sunset Tree, it was the first album I got and it's not as lo-fi, which could make it more accessible. I do say All Hail West Texas is his best though and should be album number 2 to get, Tallahassee being #3.
