Supersilent - 6

Not quite some random Norweigan improv/electroacoustic album I picked up one otherwise uneventful day, as among this happy bunch is one of my favourite trumpeters Arve Henriksen. Very mellow, post-rockish vibe, and nowhere near the punch in the face a lot of the other improvisational jazz I've ever heard, but interesting stuff - a bit of a grower.

Have you heard anything else by Jonathan Coulton? The man has quite the catalog of music, all of which is great.

Sparks-Kimono My House
A record of pure unadulterated pop joy, love their sense of humour.Really surprised they arn't more played considering their popularity in the 70's and the nonsense from the era that does get played.

Entwine - Gone

I've never seen them mentioned on here. But I really enjoyed this album

Anyhow here's what I'm currently digging.

Slint - Tweez

This is such a cool contrast to Spiderland, it's almost like it's a different band. I'm really digging the bass on a few of the songs, specifically "Carol". It's really cool to see the band in such different places in just a two year time frame. Both of their albums are amazing, I have yet to get their untitled single.

Drop - Within And Beyond - I do not branch out of classical music all that often, but this seems to be a very dreamy album which I picked up on recently!!

I have been immensely enjoying this EP for the past month. It's so fucking awesome! If you're a fan of chill/downtempo electronic music, say Boards of Canada, nostalgia, synth funk, IDM, and *shudders at the term* "chill wave", you NEED to get this. Its smoothness has really been blowing my mind. Plus it's free from the artist, so what excuse have you? Unfortunately my browsers won't let me access his site, claiming they are malicious (not so until the past few days) so I can't provide the link. It should be posted on various blogs, though. If you can't find it, hit me up.
More more more! I just downloaded the EP and listened to it a few times back to back and I love it, any recommendations of other music like this? I've heard a few artists like this (chill wave I guess or whatever you want to call it) but my knowledge of this sound is extremely limited.
