I remember you recommending Nujabes to me quite a while back, but I never had a chance to check any stuff out (except some clips).

Com Truise - Cyanide Sisters EP

I have been immensely enjoying this EP for the past month. It's so fucking awesome! If you're a fan of chill/downtempo electronic music, say Boards of Canada, nostalgia, synth funk, IDM, and *shudders at the term* "chill wave", you NEED to get this. Its smoothness has really been blowing my mind. Plus it's free from the artist, so what excuse have you? Unfortunately my browsers won't let me access his site, claiming they are malicious (not so until the past few days) so I can't provide the link. It should be posted on various blogs, though. If you can't find it, hit me up.

I still consider Polygon Window to be IDM, even if it's more dancey. Unfortunately the production on this is pretty dated, from what I remember. I also find it a bit too repetitive, and combined with dated production, meh. I should give it a listen again though, it's been a looooong time.

Kenichiro Nishihara - Humming Jazz

Very awesome chill out jazz hip hop.

When I want some chill out music this is the kinda thing I turn to:

The Immortal - Mississippi John Hurt

Got this one from James, will definitely be getting some more. This is great stuff!

Definitely one of my favourites. A really really amazing album.

Tom Waits - Nighthawks at the Diner

I love the live feeling of this album, it really helps make it feel intimate. Tom Waits shows just how good a showman he is, cracking jokes with the audience and really making the album feel like it was being recorded at a club. I really love the theme of it and the stories behind the songs. It's definitely a longer album, but it's one of those longer albums that you love listening to start to finish.

I wish I could have found a full clip of "Nighthawk Postcards", that has to be one of the best Waits songs ever.

And speaking of thrash albums, I've also been getting into this lately:

Really good stuff, though unfortunately I feel like the album is somewhat marred by the production.

Frolic Through The Park is not that great and quite a lot different from the debut but Act III redresses the balance somewhat although it is no match for the visceral sound of the debut (recorded in a couple of days btw).

They were meant to be on the European leg of the infamous Clash Of The Titans tour which may have pushed the band into a bigger stratosphere but the band were involved in a very serious car accident and had to pull out at the last minute.

I am definitely going to pick up this album after reading what you thought, and watching that video :thumb:
I get more and more into Tom every time I hear a new song. I love the jazzy/club feel to that video too.
