I just can't get over the beauty of her voice. I've been trying to see if I could find another vocalist as good but haven't had much success.

The girl from Asobi Seksu sound similar and they're dream poppy too.

I have an album of theirs but haven't listened yet. Thanks for the recommendation, if they are like Cocteau Twins I'll probably be posting that album in this thread soon.

Listen to Citrus. That's their best release to date.

I couldn't recall the name, but yes, that's the one.

I have been on quite the Devin Townsend kick lately... tonight, I just found myself compelled to take a thorough and comprehensive headphones listen to Synchestra... I remember this album as the soundtrack to my big move to the United States, basically... this was the big album for me that year!

Great album, probably my favorite non-SYL Townsend one. Vampolka's a lot of fun.

vampolka is awesome, and I love the way it transitions into Vampira, and then that song gets progressively heavier... overall a really great part of the album!

Mmmm, indeed! That right there is one great release. I like how throughout the course of the album the mood shifts from dark, to more hopeful and determined.

EDIT:

Boris- Flood
Wow, ok, how do I describe this? Drone-post-doom-rock? I don't know, but this is really gorgeous music, and is definitely my favorite of what I've heard from Boris (Flood, Pink, and Amplifier Worship). It can be very emotive and tranquil, but eventually crescendos and become very heavy and loud before settling back down again. Kind of like the title of the album.

Bleh. Here, this guy on RYM can describe it better than I can:
"It's kind of hard to explain this album to someone who has hasn't heard it, over the internet is even more difficult, well here goes,

Track 1 goes like this: do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do and so on for about 15 minutes.

Track 2 goes like this: do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do *Steady build up* de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da *subtle guitar solo* do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da do do de da

Track 3 goes like this: do da dooo daaaaa do da deeeee do da dooo daaaaa do da deeeee do da dooo daaaaa do da deeeee do da dooo daaaaa do da do da dooo daaaaa do da do da dooo daaaaa do da deeeee do da dooo daaaaa do da deeeee *BIG ****ING GUITAR CRUNCH* WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA *quiet singing with words that you can't quite make out but wouldn't be able to understand anyway because, you know, it's Japanese* WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA WOOO ZAAA BOOO YA MOOOCHA MOOCHA *REAL ****ING EPIC BUILD UP THAT WILL BLOW YR ****ING HEAD OFF* FEEDBACK, FEEDBACK, FEEDBACK LACED GUITAR CHORDS *Weird background noise that could've come straight from something Merzbow did* ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ZOOOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOO DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM.................... ........................... ...................... ............... ...................... .............................. ............................. .................. ............................... ...........DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM.........................ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEE*steadily winding down* DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE .................... ........................

Track 4 goes like this: do do do DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM do do do do do DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM doooooo dooooo doooo dooo doooo DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM do do do do do do do do do swooooooooooooooooooo.............. ........................ .............wooooh wooooh wooooh......... .......................... ......do do do................dum......................... ............ ............ .............swoosh swoosh swoosh................. ...........................................wum wum wum................. .............................................. .do .........................................dum...... ..................do.............................. ..... ...............WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH.......... ..............WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH.. ......................... ........................ WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH ................................. .................................................. .................... ........ ..........ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddoooooooo oooooooo ..................dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooo......................... ............................... .............................

You'll know what I mean when you hear it."

EDIT2: This post has made me realize that I can not write worth a damn past 2 AM.
