A wonderfully skanky version Of early Sabbath filtered through a grunge asthetic but don't let that put you off. This is unpolished, raw good old distorted noisy Rock n Roll with a suitably raw production. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...t/folder-1.jpg A less abrasive version of Gogol Bordello but with better hooks and more fun. http://theequivoid.aligofriends.com/...65a85_full.jpg Easiest description? Groovy punk riffs punctuated with strange time sigs and an infectious edge that evokes Jon Spencer Blues Explosion at their very best (but better?..). http://img.crocmusic.com/l/albums/32...thee_glitz.jpg Just turn the volume up and tap your feet. Easy peasy Housey groovy schizz that is not too taxing on the old grey matter. |

I only started listening to Metric a few days, I must say that this album completely blew me away. I recomend this to anyone who appreciates good music. |

Clandestino bores the arse off me after four or five tracks. I much prefer his earlier band 'Mano Negra'. Much more eclectic. Check them out if you have'nt before.

The Jesus & Mary Chain : Psychocandy http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA240_.jpg The Jesus & Mary Chain : Darklands http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA240_.jpg The Jesus & Mary Chain : Honey's Dead http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA240_.jpg The Jesus & Mary Chain : Automatic It is fair to say I'm in a Jesus & Mary Chain mood. Even fairer to say that I'm currently obsessed by them. I'm also listening to their other two albums (Stoned & Dethroned and Munki) and their collections of b-sides and rarities. Currently, I'm of the belief that pop and rock never reached a higher pinnacle. That may not last forever, but wow, I'm really into them at the moment. I've always liked them, but suddenly it's kicked in much harder. |
I thought Automatic was kind of a joke.
