Word spreads fast! It was a rare tip from an IRL friend on my part. Hollar if you want a linky.

Thanks, no need unless you've got one handy at a good bitrate (I'm otherwise resourceful). The guy on the other board mentioned he had "tried to avoid the hype" so I immediately thought Pitchfork must be involved. Sure enough, they reviewed the album and it scored 8.2 I think. That might explain the spread. It already has 8 reviews on RYM too, which is a lot for a recent and underground electronic album.

This is kind of obnoxious and I should probably find it annoying but, on the contrary, I love it. I'm really wondering why I didn't check it out sooner.

Woah... Bulldog, thank you so much for posting this. Agreed about the album cover too :D

Love this 'Space Weaver' song, ambient and ethereal, and I love it.

'twas my absolute pleasure :thumb: The album she did last year, the Black Opal's, just superb too if you haven't got round to it yourself.

All of which reminds me, I still haven't got round to looking for any of the soundtracks she's done. Must get on with finding them that soon...

Proof that girls can rock out too, and actually be quite good at it. Very good album - one of those that works best at maximum volume.

The Future Sound Of London - Environments II

Another example of some of my favourite ever sleeve artwork. As for the album itself, it's part of what FSOL have been up to since the Isness/Otherness, that being a series of four minimalist ambient albums. This one starts out a bit dull, but really picks up with its second half. Not as interesting as Environments I overall though.

Gothic Rock week made me dig this up, what a great band Fields Of The Nephilim were. Three absolute brilliant albums and this is my personal favourite.

I used to always think the women on the cover of this was wearing a cowboy hat, now I realise it's her hand. Pretty much perfect New Wave and they never matched their debut.

Working on my Blues comp reminded me to listen to this again, I enjoyed it when i listened ages ago and always told myself i'd keep it top of the pile. Now I realise I should of. Skip's a real legend and this is just fantastic Blues.

FOTN are one of my favourite bands ever. Good call. They have made around 8 albums though but only 3 and a couple of E.P's with the 'classic' line up. Have you checked out Rubicon or Eden House with ex members at all?

Eden House, released an album last year. Love this:

I hadn't listened to Boris in a while and this is a band that I really love. Waiting for some new material, that's all.

And got this album the other day so I listened to it again.

Just so you know, Eden House are immense. Jackhammer started a thread on them somewhere around if you fancy a closer look at them.
