I thought this would be over-rated hipster ****, but this might just be my new favourite album... OF ALL TIME.

^Love that album.

It's been a while since I listened to this, but I listened to it again today and remembered how much I loved it.

My favourite track would be Dogs, I just love the guitar on it.
In my mind, Animals is most definitely the best Floyd album. The themes are brilliant along with the lyrics, and it has some of the best sound in the discography.

Exactly what I thought! I was expecting a trainwreck, and instead I got a terrific listen.

What're your favourite songs on it? The only songs I'm basically not totally in love with yet is the instrumental one and Oh, Comely.

Fang Island - Fang Island

Awesome little band from Rhode Island, found out they were supporting The Flaming Lips over in the US at the minute so I decided to check them out. Brilliant album, although the last 3 songs aren't fantastic which let's it down a little bit. If you're into bands like Holy Fuck then throw this debut on.

Pale Saints - In Ribbons

Was recommended this album by a friend whilst I was going through my shoegazey phase. Was listening to a lot of Ride, Slowdive, Chapterhouse.. somehow had never came across Pale Saints before. Glad I did though, really spacey album, absolutely brilliant for just chilling out late in the evening. Can't fault a single thing about this album or what I've heard from the band thus far.

Jealous ^

I was gonna see them at Glastonbury but they clashed with Muse and my friends insisted I watch them instead. Kind of regret it.

Going to see Muse in December, so I was lucky. Midlake was very different to what I'm used to seeing, very immersive and atmospheric though. I also heard the longest applause for any band I've seen after one guitar solo. They even had a long instrumental in the middle of the their already fantastic set which I was surprised by. You DEFINITELY should go next available chance.
