Nujabes - Modal Soul

I love smooth hip hop more than any other kind of hip hop and this pretty much nails it. If you like piano and you like hip hop and you think the idea of them sexing together would sound good...this one is for you.

I meant get the album early.. it might be my favourite of the year thus far. I gave it 4 stars, but it could go up to 4 and a half.

I'm going to wait until it actually comes out to get it. (Which is really strange for me, usually I'm all over leaks) I admit the four songs I do have from that album are fantastic. That said...

I'm totally addicted to this record

Laura Stevenson and the Cans- A Record

"The Pretty One" get's my vote for prettiest song of the year. This whole album is really wonderful.

Shining - Blackjazz

Most people can't get around the shear strangeness of this album, but if you can, I think some of you will enjoy it. I love "Exit Sun", at the moment it's my favorite track, but I definitely need to listen to the whole album a few more times.

This album is so great, wish I'd gotten into their early stuff sooner

Sounds like it might be interesting. But isn't all jazz "black jazz"?
