I still haven't ever gotten around to Sparklehorse. I do have Dreamt For Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain though, i actually just imported it into my iTunes yesterday. That was their last record though, wasnt it? So i'm assuming it may not be the best choice to start with? Well, as for me. CAMEL - CAMEL (1973) Since my post about Mirage, i have also gotten into this gem. Same kind of, in places psychedelic, prog with some absolutely crackiing solo's. I have some other Camel records to listen to but i'm not rushing this band. I have played the hell out of this and Mirage and will move on whenever i get around to it. Absolutely brilliant stuff! |

I'd say It's A Wonderful Life would be a great starting point, get it listened to!
Diamond Eyes is absolutely awesome too, really good record. Deftones are such a solid band, I'm yet to dislike anything they've released. |

I know I'm like a broken record. But seriously. This album in my opinion is VERY well written/produced. Justice's songs never cease to amaze me. Especially my previous two months were "musicless". This was like a godsend to listen to when I got my laptop back. I got addicted to it again .

Broadcast - Tender Buttons I'm freaking in love with this album right now. Fairly dark electronic neo-psychedelia that has this 60's psych tinge that keeps it just poppy enough to stay interested through the whole album. The vocalist Trish Keenan sings like a 60's pop artist and it fits in perfectly with the interesting blend of retro and modern sounding electronic noises. I had heard a song of theirs a while back and didn't think much of it (can't remember the song), but I decided I needed something with female pop vocals and this is what I got. The first half of the album is flawless. Great great stuff.
