"Scott Walker Sings Jacques Brel" an excellent set of reworks, from one legend to another

Steely Dan-Pretzel Logic
Not as good as Aja, but a terrific album of 2-3 minute pop songs nonetheless, with Through With Buzz, Any Major Dude Will Tell You and Night By Night being every bit as good as the more famous Steely Dan hits.

That's basically what I thought of it. I been rarely finding myself in the mood for some Steely Dan lately but along with Can't By a Thrill and Aja, that's an album I always find myself coming back to. Plus Barrytown is absolutely sublime.

Toro Y Moi - Causers Of This

Ok I'm not good at describing WHY I like it but I'll try. Right from the beginning, the chill vibe this album gives off is sooooo soothing. Each song is catchy in it's own way which I love, there isn't a single song that's skip-worthy. I tend to sit outside on a brisk summer evening and just put this album on repeat... I recommend it to anyone who likes dreamy/indie music.

Aphex Twin- Richard D. James Album
Wow. This album was my first real dive into IDM. I've heard IDM influenced works like Vespertine, but never the real deal. This album is simultaneously catchy, complex, and chock-full of melody. It's been on rotation in my stereo since I had it.

Sigur Ros- ( )
I've had this for quite some time, but never bothered listening to it. I always figured it would be tedious getting all the way through it, considering it's supposedly Sigur Ros's most minimalistic album. Last night I decided to listen to 'Untitled #1' on a whim. It was love at first listen. Just from the first listen, it ties with Agaetis in sheer beauty.

Great album. "Untitled 3" is enough to bring me to tears when the time is right.
