Tom Waits - Bone Machine Tom Waits is a musician that has always really stood out to me. I love his music, reminds me of a few sideshow freaks jamming on the bayou. Bone Machine is probably my favorite of his albums (Swordfishtrombones a close second.)

and The Gaslight Anthem- The '59 Sound and The Format- Interventions + Lullabies. Loved Interventions + Lullabies for a long time, just re-got into the Gaslight Anthem.

This album is really a grower, as his voices quirks (ie the ups and downs and the little yelps here and there) really start to sink in after 3 to 4 listens, and you can finally concentrate on the beautiful lyricism. The extra instrumentation is an amazing highlight, too. "Sweet Thing" wouldn't be the same without that amazing 'twirly' sound the woodwinds give off. This thread is getting a bit short on people saying WHY they like these albums. Which is the whole point of it in the first place.
