I've been looking forward to this album for a while now and upon first listen it definitely does not disappoint. Don't listen to the naysayers complaining it sounds too much like LP3. It's a really solid album that's worth checking out.
Love the cover art!

The Contino Sessions is where it's at for Death In Vegas. Less sprawling than Dead Elvis and much tighter musically. It also spawned possibly the best ever Iggy Pop cameo spot ever put down:

Played and thoroughly enjoyed Breathe by Midnight Oil today... it's not one of their better known albums, and stylistically it's very all over the place... but ya know there is not a single dud track on it, it's spirit, ideas and the values it tries to put forth are amazing. Plus it's a nice stripped back, dirty sound the band went for which I thoroughly approve of...

I'm digging one certain song more then the others, but still, I'm enjoying it nonetheless.

Stumbled into the Shoegaze thread, pretty unusual for me in itself, and saw a youtube vid for these guys, liked it, nabbed the album, and now I'm hooked. I'm not sure If i'd call it shoegaze though, but it's definitely good stuff

Yeah, that's the debate we had after I posted it in there. I figured it was fuzzy/dreamy enough to be counted as shoegaze. I kinda like calling it garage shoegaze. Either way, I can see what people mean.

Great stuff though, glad you enjoy it.
