5 listens to even start liking it...sounds about right. Haha, it's become more of a tradition than anything else. May's around the corner so SY is out of the shelf. It's hard to describe the kind of stuff he's into. Lately he listens to a lot of southern CA stuff off swami records and thirsty moon records. But he has a huge (physical) music collection with a lot of variety. Refuses to go digital...personally, I can't tell the difference between hearing the complete sound wave of vinyl and the really close approximation of the wave on a digital recording. (but I'm kind of deaf)

and her other two EPs as well. Fantastic stuff, but Best Coast seriously needs to release a full length soon.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Downloaded this months ago but forgot about it.
Probably one of the most schizophrenic albums I've ever heard. One minute you get typical alt-country drenched in pop hooks the next you just get flat out noise.

And just when you think it can't possibly get any better they cover You Doo Right by Can.
It's awesome.

Recently, for good measure I busted out Big Heavy Stuff's "dear Friends and Enemies for a good listen in the car. It still plays out as an excellent album of beautifully crafted songs, still a definite favorite of my collection...

Also listened to the Incident by Porcupine Tree a few times this week just gone... I still have not fully solidified my opinions on this album and the band, but for mostly good reasons - what I am hearing is the sound of a GREAT band I am only just starting to understand, to scratch the surface of, so to speak... lotsa great melody, some level of heaviness lyrically and musically and olenty of complexity going on in the songs.... i think it's a band i am going to love!!!

Defiance, Ohio - Share What You Got

God I fucking love this band. Can't beat any of their albums. Lullabies is definitely a favorite... for some reason that I absolutely cannot understand the lyrics "lay your head next to mine and we’ll sleep one good sleep tonight.
fall asleep, love, to forget or to dream … fall asleep to leave this world
behind" always cheers me up when I'm depressed about friends that have passed away. It's weird, you'd think it would make me sad.
