As a way to beef up my reggae collection I did some research and found this guy. Damn he's amazing. Definitely the best artist I've found recently in the world of reggae
Tiken Jah Fakoly - L'Africain I was also in the mood for some more World music so I decided to stick with Africa and found Goosebump inducing gorgeousness! |

I love it when I don't listen to an album for a long time and then rediscover it. It's almost like listening for the first time. I just felt the strong desire to listen to kill em all. and it's just as amazing as I remember it being.

Really? I find everything about this album super stimulating. He was only like twenty when they released this album.

The music is great...I just really can't stand the vocals. Honestly, most Metallica has worn out for me, so I really shouldn't even talk. I'll still pop on Ride the Lightning from time to time, but the appeal just isn't there anymore.

Kill 'em all and master of puppets are the only two of their albums that I really dig. But I only get the full experience if I listen to them then take a long break (at least a year) then rediscover the details the next time I listen to them.

Maybe that's what I need...I'll give one of their albums a spin soon and see if it clicks with me again. I used to love them while I was in high school

David Bowie - Hunky Dory It's literally been years since I last listened to more than a handful of songs off this album, which is kinda funny, what with its being fantastic and all that. The man's work in the latter part of the 70s overshadows the earlier stuff like this for me, so I guess that must have something or other to do with it. |
