New Order - Get Ready http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...eady-cover.png I love this album so much. Another one of the first albums I got that I still listen to today - this being around the time of its release in 2000/2001. Sure, it's not the New Order we all know and love, what with the guitar-heavy sound and that, but the songwriting is straight out of the top-drawer here, especially regarding songs like this one... edit - Just thought that I've had this album about ten years now. Man I feel old! |

I love the way this man speaks. Very powerful, but without pretensions. |

Fear Factory - Mechanize (2010) New Fear Factory is very metalicious with some intense drumming from the Atomic Clock Mr. Gene Hoglan. It really showcases their push to include more noticeable melodic parts which are thankfully done tastefully and feel relevant to the song, something a lot of bands (ahem metalcore) seem to fail to grasp. http://purerockradio.org/requests/pi...The-Damned.jpg Charred Walls of the Damned - Charred Walls of the Damned (2010) I'm pretty sure anything with Tim 'Ripper' Owens is going to be good, it's like the law or something. |

Giving this a proper listen for the first time in months. Better every time. |

Funeral Oration - Funeral Oration (Hopeless, 1995)
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg Dutch melodic hardcore/punk rock with English vocals, fun stuff. They were active from 83 to the late 90s, apparently getting more melodic as they went on which is fine with me. I only have this and the two after it, so well into their more melodic sound, but still rough around the edges. I think the singer's dead now. |
