Recent favorite of mine. From nu-jazz to trip-hop to IDM, this release touches upon a variety of electronic genre thresholds and weaves them into a dozing, electrical tapestry of awesome. Ideal nightowl music for you all methinks!

DISTANToblivion.... thats cool! no worries!!! Ya know i also should take a second listen to that CD and evaluate it as an older more opened minded individual... I was definitely keyed in to a much different musical asthetic at the time I bought it, if I remember rightly...

My friend introduced this to me the other day and it was very pleasant. I don't think i'd go out of my way to hear it but it was a nice soundtrack to some Xbox sessions.

Jetscreamer - Starhead I like this album . It's like the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion with avant garde leanings. This came out in 2003, as far as I can see it's the only thing they released sadly.

Smith Westerns- Smith Westerns My best friend's brother used to drum for this band, but he quit because they were assholes to him and he never got paid for anything he did. However, I've really been enjoying them lately, and if you did lo-fi rock or t. rex, check it out. |

Miles Davis - Round About Midnight These last few days I've been listening to a lot more jazz than I usually do, so a bit of Davis is kind of a given in that respect. Just the kind of smooth, groovy and nicely lively stuff that it's great to listen to at this time of night. Divinyls - Divinyls Decent enough album I suppose. A few parts of the album try my patience a little, and it's not as consistently interesting as its followup Underworld. Still nice enough as an unabashed pop-rock album though. Plus it's got 'that song' on it, which is hardly a bad thing. |

Múm - Finally We Are No One Haven't listened to this in a while. Amazing ambient/experimental electronica. If you have never heard the haunting music these guys can create, do yourself a favor and listen to this:
