Emmylou Harris - Elite Hotel

Just giving this one a spin at the minute. One of my favourite, somewhat more traditional-sounding country & western albums this. Aside from a great bunch of originals, the covers on this are excellent too - the Beatles' Here, There and Everywhere and the Flying Burrito Brothers' Sin City being a couple of highlights. And gawd dayam was she hot back in the day

Prog-Metal Instrumental from Philly. Not too heavy, but there a tint of math-rock incorporated to keep me on my toes. This is a three piece with two brothers and a female drummer who looks like she would rip your head off. Ooh, and how could I forget - the upright electric bass. I've got a link if you're interested.

This song a bit slower, but it's live and the quality is pretty good. It's just what I'm listening at the moment. Once you click on the video, you'll be able to find more songs by them. Enjoy.

The track has a pretty strong 70s vibe to it. I could like this maybe, as long as the album's not too samey.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Aw, I just posted a link in the Stinking Lizaveta thread. That's the only one I've got. By the way, I got these link from a new member, BigJimSlade. He's a friend of mine irl and if you find his profile or a post, click on his blog. There are loads of good RARE downloads! Few reviews, but still worth checking out.

Enjoying myself some good ol' late eightie Aussie indie / pub roxk, in the form of Hunters and Collectors' "Ghost Nation" and thew Go Betweens' "16 Lovers Lane" album... both oof which are quite the creative high points for each band...

80`s music does indeed make for a good hangover remedy...

Last night I indulged in some good 80's Australian pub / indie rock.... namely Ghost Nation by Hunters and Collectors and 16 Lovers Lane by the Go Betweens...
