It's been a week of getting back into artists I haven't listened to in yonks, and Dead Can Dance's discography is the latest stop on my little journey of re-discovery. The above two albums are home to yet more of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. For example...

parliament's early work is astonishingly good, and it's too bad that most people just concern themselves with post-Up for the Down Stroke because Osmium is a proto-funk classic in it's own right.

A sublime, oneiric summation of Post Rock, Shoegaze, & Ambient! Can't get any more chilled than this. I love it.

Teenage Head - The Flamin' Groovies

A blues/rock classic from 1971.

Yeah, you can't go far wrong starting with those two. Into the Labyrinth would be a good one too. In fact, the only studio album DCD have ever released that I think isn't really all that is their self-titled debut, so any one of them would be good by my reckoning.

Absolutely love it. I started out with Pink and am still exploring. They've so much stuff! Where do I go next?
