A CD that contains all 11 songs released by this short-lived DC band, similar to another excellent Dischord group called One Last Wish. Except this is an all-girl math rock combo and one of them later formed Helium, who were a bit grungier but still tops.

Mary Timony!
The Helium EP, Pirate Prude, was among my favorite-of-all-time for years

Somehow I lost my CD but I never stopped proudly displaying the case.

What's wrong with me? I just heard this for the first time this morning as well. I fail.

Yeah, that's definitely a must own album for sure.

Violent Femmes - Why Do Birds Sing? (1991)

The first 8 tracks on this album are ABSOLUTELY KILLER. Shame the rest are really not up to par.

So uh... never knew I liked dub? I tend to shy away from reggae, I've never found much I like outside of the occasional Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Ziggy Marley (and I confess I haven't listened to the second 2 since I quit smoking up) but apparently I ****ing love Scientist. I've seen people talk about him on here many times, and I finally decided to check it out. The question is, where do I go from here? This is quite literally the only dub I have ever heard, I'd like to find more though.

There is a TON of amazing dub reggae out there, those 2 albums being no exception. Check out some 10 ft. Ganja Plant for starters. Dubmatix, Lee Perry, King Tubby, and Augustus Pablo are good avenues as well.

^ Some random, early 90s, Australian indie album I found lying around the hard-drive. It's good. Really good actually. One of those pleasant surprises you forgot you actually had that springs on you every now and then.
