Err... any chance you could PM me a link to where all of those are? I have a little collection of Ninja Tunes stuff but there's more than a few I like and really want.

Sixtoo - Songs I Hate (And Other People Moments)
just learned about Sixtoo, and this is my favorite so far. so chill.

Opgave - Writing the Silver
downtempo with classical elements. if you like Saltillo, Emancipator, and Yonderboi then check this one out.

Noah - Charisma
more downtempo/chillout/trip hop sounds. a bit heavier on the electro beats than i typically care for, but still highly recommended.

Tito & Tarantula - Tarantism
sleazy latin rock. i can't get enough of them lately, their whole discography is outstanding. they were featured in Desperado and Dusk Till Dawn.

iji - Soup and Salad

Apparently this is a cassette, which is news to me. But it's good, sounds a bit like a laid back Pavement from Hawaii. More often than not they're playing acoustic, and they have a cool cover of About A Girl. Don't know if anyone here would like it, but it appeals to my chill skater side.

EDIT: Apparently I was only listening to one side, the second side adds in a lot more electronic sounds and goes in a much poppier, varied direction. And it has two rather hilarious short stories about chopping up fruit.

Wire, Send

I'm really digging this one right now. After a series of over-computerized electronic albums in the 80's, they've gone back to their punk roots. It's harder and heavier than anything they've done since Pink Flag, and it had just as much substance and power as that classic. If Bruce Gilbert had to leave, this was the way to do it.

Bill Nelson, Chance Encounters in the Garden of Lights

I was never a huge fan of Bill Nelson's band, BeBop Deluxe, but his solo career has been rich and rewarding. This is his best work, showing just how textured and evocative ambient keyboard pieces can be, and the lyrics inspired by his Gnostic beliefs are quite moving as well. Too bad he's languished in obscurity for a while now.

Arab Strap-The Red Thread.
Precisely the sort of emotion-laden,literate indie record I want to make myself one day.

(1993)

Streamlined and pitch-perfect, they sound extremely similar to Jellyfish (although with a 'grungier' guitar sound to fit the era). Just top-shelf power pop, i.e. not too soppy, inventive chord changes, two-part harmonies, some clever lyrics. They never made it really big though; too pop-savvy for their own good perhaps.

Classic track: 'Solar Sister'

Talk Talk- The Colour of Spring
Very relaxed yet heartwarming album. Great for relaxing, sleeping, or walking to.

Why?- Alopecia
I'm not quite sure what attracts me to this album. It's like a more psychedelic (and white) Beck with better lyrics.

Brazil- A hostage and the Meaning of Life
The record label's tag on the CD said it was like a middleground between Yes and Sunny Day Real Estate. I personally don't hear that. To me, this is like the album that would have been made next if At the Drive-In didn't break up. (not to says it tops Relationship of Command, but it follows that direction.)

Skalpel - Skalpel

Haven't played this in a while. Polish nu/future jazz. Think Amon Tobin lite. Very lite.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
