I've listened to this album three times today and it just keeps on getting better and better. Gab is truly one of those MC's that excels in every aspect and just continues to build up from every album. The beats are a lot more polished and funky than his first solo album and while it's obvious Chief Xcel had nothing to do with it, I'm sure he'd be happy with the production. Now they just need to put out a new Blackalicious album dammit! |

(1970) (1975) Two of the less celebrated Kraftwerk albums, because it is simply impossible to actively dislike any of them. The former is pure Krautrock featuring two giants of the 'scene', - Klaus Dinger as the (human) drummer and Conny Plank on the boards. Either chugging or floating, like any good K-rocker. Grait stuff. Is it just me or does the 'rock' part always seem wildly inappropriate? The latter is the oddball of their classic/melodic era, being a concept album and having quite a leisurely pace and a couple of more experimental tracks. However it seems to be underrated as the bridge between 'Autobahn' and 'Trans-Europe Express', nobody ever claims this as their favourite. With such a good run in the 70's I guess there had to be one that got left out |

Well you can't beat an old classic. DJ Shadow-Endtroducing.
When Fields Of The Nephilim split, the band (minus vocalist McCoy) formed Rubicon. They had a similar sound but the new vocalist wasn't the best. However there are still enough hooks to warrant a long overdue listen. This Cuban born American artist who spent half of his life in the U.K, is barely known except for being the father of Sienna Guillory (Jill Valentine in the 2nd Resident Evil film) which is a damn shame as he was a great acoustic artist and vocalist. This album (for which I had to upload details for to RYM) is a collection of intimate live performances from the early 90's. Nothing hugely original but solid nevertheless.
