^ This things rocking my socks at the moment. Some of the smoothest, grooviest jazz I've heard in a while, and definitely among the finds of the year for me (and, funnily enough, the last few weeks have been full of them).

A stunning debut from noted heterosexual singer Jonah Jones.

Mike Quarmbv proves once again that he's the undisputed poet laureate of the subliterate.

America's favorite cross-dressing metal band in white underwear is back with a vengence!
Did you just scour the worst album covers thread for stuff to listen to? Anything good in there?

been working lately and having stuff on in t'background, in partic.:

monster. They should remaster this properly with no crappy extra tracks and sell it for a fiver. The 'no future' bit to 'God Save the Queen' is like a time machine. Somebody recently told me that 'Liar' was filler... whaaat?

It's not bad, Mustaine playing to his strengths and the new guitarist is immense but... feels like a cut-rate version of Peace Sells

'Sophia's Song' gives ya the shivers, i wish the bloke wouldn't bother singing but he's not too offensive. Also great for sleepytime playlists. Had no idea what to expect going in, always thought they were a darkwave band

One of my favourite jazz albums, really upbeat with some smooth moments intertwined. I love jazz but I know very little about the different classifications, despite having a collection of around 30/40 jazz albums. The subtle classifications can be quite intimidating, but I believe this is avant-garde, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm definitely going to learn more about jazz in the future as it's always been one of my favourite genres, hopefully I can delve a little deeper. Surely there's a thread for that around here!

*Goes off to look*

Loved it to be honest. Quite heavy indeed. Reminds me a bit of Seasons with some Christ Illusion mixed in.

I would love to take a chance with this. Just the sort of thing I've been looking for lately.

Here's mine:

I'm afraid that was the biggest picture I could find of the last one, it's Solo Piano by Dave McKenna. The middle one is Tarot Sport, the new **** Buttons album.

Timber Timber's self-titled album...there is something so eerie yet beautiful about it. Anyone agree?

I stumbled upon it accidentally while researching CMJ, I've been passing it around to all my friends since then.
