1.Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus
"Essentially, the record finds Phoenix doing what they do supremely well – danceable indie-pop with touches of shoegaze guitar and ambient electro." see "1901" and "Lasso" 2.The xx - xx As it is, with all their knobs set to downbeat, there's something restrained and knowing here that will trouble some newcomers. see "Crystalized" and "Islands" 3.The Big Pink - A Brief History of Love "A Brief History of Love is a dazzlingly good debut, carefully mixing guitars and electronics in densely layered and carefully textured songs." see "Velvet" |

this album deserves it's own obnoxiously large pic
1991, the 'brownest' album ever put to four track by Ween or anybody else. 'The Pod' referred to Dean & Gene's claustrophobic apartment recording space (i believe it would have been smalltown Maine), and no doubt the Pod was a gateway into that parallel plain of reality in which such strangeness roams free, and albums like the Pod are hailed as classics in place of some sh*t U2 album. Religious music. 'Drg' music, then. SAMPELLES http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...40/the_pod.jpg |
