Random - Mega Ran 9 God I love this guy, his ability to make me interested in Mega Man (a game I've never played and have no desire to try) is truly remarkable. This is his second album based on Mega Man and it is far more controlled and polished than his 2007 release Mega Ran. |

Emancipator - Soon It Will Be Cold Enough
holy **** this is good music. i don't know if i should call it neo classical, post rock, or trip hop. it's a mish-mash of all three. find it. play it. dig it. |
LITE - Phantasia
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA280_.jpg I'm really liking this one, I've played it 3 times so far. I don't remember how I discovered it but searched here and Jackhammer had posted about it in the past. Anyway it's instrumental rock, most would call it math rock. It's got some post rock tendencies as well, but mostly it's energetic math rock. Think Russian Circles, but faster and more upbeat. Think Battles, without the stupid vocals. Think Rumah Sakit, and add more melody. These guys are incredibly tight and don't let their skills turn into wanking. It's a very well paced and melodic album played by very skilled Japanese musicians. This is their second album and I've picked up their debut which I might play today. |

Currently enjoying Q-Tip - Kamaal The Abstract, although just released it was produced in 2002 or something and would have been far ahead of its time in my opinion. Great hybrid of hip hop, jazz, soul and R&B. |
