^ Some terrific drum 'n' bass with an interesting element of chillout/ambient atmoshperics thrown into the mix over some very hyperactive time signatures. I'm told it's not exactly their classic, but it sounds good enough to me. ^ I remembered the name Kosheen from seeing it in some music mag many many years ago, and I was expecting a full-on trip-hop album. The lively d'n'b tempos did come as a bit of a surprise then. Fantastic album though. ^ A lot like those Black Box Recorder albums I was on about a few pages back, in the sense their sound combines elements of indie, pop and trip-hop. Another great album this. ^ Been a while since I last gave this a listen end-to-end, so why not eh. Fabulous album. |

Wow, I am really blown away how damn Good the new Moby album is... it sounds to me like a darker, more grown up, mature and more compelling 18, or even Play.... bit the emotion is all there, theres a deep sense of feeling and although this has less dancefloor get up and go, it makes an excellent chillout record... I love it, already!

The Dukes of Stratosphear - 25 O'Clock The Dukes of Stratosphear - Psonic Psunspot thanks to Bulldog, two of the greatest tributes to sixties psychedelia in a pure pop whistle from the guys that brought you XTC (Colin Moulding and Alan Partridge). really superb, they should have incorporated more of a psychedelic element to their main project because they pulled it off extremely well. and with album covers like those, how could you refuse? choice tracks: 25 O'Clock, What in the World, Vanishing Girl, Little Lighthouse, You're My Drug

Really? I don't think they've topped their debut EP, personally.

I love the new one more than the other 2 LPs because they seemed to have made everything very fine tuned and thorough, which perfectly compliments the heavier and more progressive sound on this record. |
