Hells ja she's amazing. Fingers crossed for a long and prolific career.

One often overlooked project she has is People, which is imo pretty cool and a bit different.

Overlooked by me as well, listening now and it's incredible. Gotta say as much as I love Halvorson, Kevin Shea's drums are really stealing the show so far.

Yeah, Shea is a monster.
Saw him live with MOPDTK and he blew my mind. Well, they all did.

This is cool indeed. And those drums are definitely wild

Sleepyhead

Sleepyhead- Cavetown

This is Cavetown's latest album, and freaking awesome if you enjoy indie/singer songwriter vibes! "Sweet Tooth" is my favorite of his new songs!

One Trick Pony, Paul Simon (1980, Warner Bros.)

I forgot this was a movie, too. The album isn't bad. Doesn't have classic numbers like his first two or three releases but it's an intriguing listen.

Tin Drum - Japan

Anyone else into Japan? They're brill, progressing from synthy pop to more experimental stuff in a short space of time. Great bass work from Mick Karn with that really distinct fretless sound. This is the highlight of their discography for me, and the fact that a minimalist, dark, and pretty experimental track like Ghosts reached #5 in the UK is a testament to their ability.

This is one of my favorite new wave releases of all time. You ever spin this one elph?

PRIVATE LIFE: The Compass Point Sessions Grace Jones (1998, Island)

Great double CD of extended versions of Jones' work with Island label producers Sly & Robbie. If you don't care for Jones' disco period and enjoy dub/ska riddims it's the only album from her you'll ever need.

Relapse 7AM (2020, Cinq music Group)

Follow up to his debut, Sober. Stripped down, synth/drum machine backed R&B grooves with catchy vocal hooks. Shuffle, repeat. Spotify edition

New wave that starts out like the Jesus and Mary Chain and then just gets more and more loopy.
