Honestly, I can't get enough of Robyn's Honey. It is such a great pop album. It sounds warm, like it's melting and covering me and wrapping me in an embrace... the name is quite applicable. The sounds are a little throwback. There's some disco, some funk-lite, some house- basically, it's a great pop record. I can't believe I've slept on it for so long.

The newest and final studio album from Tony Joe White (released 3 weeks before his death.) 5 new versions of previously recorded original songs and 7 covers. Minimalist recordings with just guitar & drums for the most part with some occasional harmonica and a couple of songs with bass guitar, also. The blues stripped-down and raw. R.I.P. |
