Anything in the Floor/Torche/Cavity/Dove family tree gets a pass from me, although I'm not sure I'm in love with how people call Floor "doom pop" just because it's slightly melodic, has clean vocals and isn't produced like dog****

Laurie Andersen - Big Science
Surprisingly soft and warm experimental pop. This video is captivating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vkfpi2H8tOE

I'm having a really good day for music exploration, currently digging through some 80s classic albums, really dug the following:
The Replacements - Tim - Very fun punk-rock?, vocals reminded me a bit of Kurt Cobain. Motorhead - Ace of Spades - Wow, this blew my earbuds. Not 100% convinced about the vocals but the guitars and drums are badass. It's generally so fast that it feels in between punk and rock. Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine - Best of the bunch, I never got around to listening to a full NIN album, even though I suspected there could be some good stuff there. This one hit the right spot, I love his vocals and the ominous, sexy melodies. Great combination of industrial, pop and rock.
