Been listening to both Mastodon's and Ghost's new albums and both are fantastic. Definitely top albums of 2018.

That Mastodon album came out last year though.

I guess it's technically still "new" by Mastodon album standards.

I don't think they're slow at putting out albums. They did an album and an EP in 2017, and they'll have an album out some time next year.

It's an 18-month year.

For me usually it's a 5-year year.

So, what's the best album so far of 2014-18?

Honestly, I'm sure there have been technically better albums and more experimental albums, but this is by far my favorite. It changed me as a person, and it will undoubtedly be looked back as an album that changed popular music and hip hop as an artistic form.
