I listened to it last night. Reclined on my bed, closed my eyes, and immersed myself in it, knowing that it was going to be a long haul. Anyway, I found it to be a rewarding experience. I especially liked how the last track of disc 1 feels like an ascension to the second disc, which I feel might be an evocation of the feeling of ascending from earth to heaven.

The Format - Dog Problems
[USA, 2006] (indie pop, power pop)

Melancholic and uplifting at the same time.

I'm kinda digging Manson's Mechanical Animals atm and I'm unsure whether I should be ashamed or embrace it.

grindy 07-01-2018 03:26 AM

...okay, now it's annoying again.

Neptune's Lair by Drexciya

ah man this came out in 99 but boy has it aged well. Detroit techno at its absolute finest. this is a god damn journey and the themes behind the mythological underwater African city of Drexciya (or "Black Atlantis") is pretty damn cool too

Arca - Stretch 2

Been my **** recently, totally wild. I was really into Mutant before and never really dug through his discography. Big mistake. Crazy IDM glitch **** that's absolutely bananas for those not in the know.
