I've been playing this a couple times over again today...somehow I missed the news of Sky Saxon's death. R.I.P.

Physicist - Devin Townsend

I love this album so damn much... its fast, furious, frantic and freaking crammed with great tunes! Still one of my favorite Heavy Devvy albums, although I pretty much love everything the guy has made...

Physicist is a severely underrated album by him. It's probably the most perfect blend of Strapping Young Lad with his solo work. It's also got "Planet Rain" which is one of my favourite songs by him.

Also played Meds by Placebo last night.... one heck of a good album that one, and I am pretty sure Placebo isn't all that well thought of... yet they produce some darn fine work IMO...

I knew when I got this that it was either going to be absolutely phenomenal or rubbish. Thank god it's the former. fantastic album.

my friend recently showed me this and I was captivated by the atmosphere. Quite fantastic.

A newer Ep from a melodic death/power metal group I discovered a while ago. Great guitarwork and catchy melodies, especially from the keyboards.

Sounds of The Universe By Depeche Mode.... VERY suprisingly impressed by this sophisticated, intense, interesting and sonically diverse album... by a band that could potentially be rehashing their best moments (are you reading this Metallica?) this is quite a bold, good move...
