Fantastic ambience with a hint of that Two Step that's so indicative of Burial. It's been on loop for an hour now.
Downloading it now, heard good things and they're two damn fine artists. I might be seeing Four Tet live soonish as well!

Revisiting Lateralus by Tool, and wondering why I took so long to come back to this... SO very much of this album reflects my current worldview, especially The Grudge, The Patient and Parabola / Parabol...

I forgot how absolutely amazing this album is...

Tonight, I am digging the sounds of Devin Townsend's Terria album... never fails to blow my mind in one way or another... just such great, solid songwriting, playing, such a damn solid album. I love this guy's music...

Terria is my favourite Devin Townsend album. Have you heard Ki yet?

Not even finished with this yet and I fucking love it, thank you whoever recommended it.

Have not heard Ki yet... would definitely appreciate a download if you have it and you aren't vehemently opposed...

Terria is still definitely my favorite though his other stuff is amazing... there's just something about the material on Terria which is just little bit extra that edges out the other albums. It's a classic in my opinion...

Totally man, he's still got the ferocity of Physicist but with the melodic nature of Infinity. "Nobody's Here" is probably my favourite Townsend song of all time, I also think the managed to give it an "earth" feel was truly amazing.

The new Future of the Left album, Travels With Myself and Another, is AMAZING. Angular, muscular, yet catchy noise rock. The sound is not too far off from Shellac--tight drums, thick gritty bass, deliciously sludgey guitar--and there's some Kong in there too (with whom they've collaborated). I think they're definitely the best band to have debuted in the past two years, and I don't say that lightly since I love Vampire Weekend (among others).
