TOKiMONSTA - Lune Rouge (2017) The first two tracks on this develop into some kind of spectacular symphony of downtempo Hip Hop/Pop. It’s fabulous. Hopefully the rest is as good.

Sigur Ros - Kveikur I vaguely remember people (including myself) really dug this the month it was released but stopped talking about it pretty quickly. I put it on the other night while I was reading and couldn't focus because this record demands your attention. I've been listening to it a lot since then and think it definitely deserves to be in the conversation for their best album, and best post-rock albums of the last decade. The atmosphere it creates is unlike any other sigur ros record and is a huge departure from what I would consider to be the most 'mainstream' and 'radio-friendly' group in the genre |

Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X
Brit Trip Hop from 1996. I always like "6 Underground" but never really listen to the whole album.

King Krule - The Ooze goddamn it leaked mother****ers. lot of tracks, only through the first few. ****ing lovely so far. a lot of that same laid back atmosphere from the first record, but his vocals contain so much more intensity and he's so raw at times it's surprising. his first album was a nice blend of different styles, but this one is really all over the map. a lot of post-punk, trip-hop, and other **** that i'm not knowledgeable enough about to really point out. anyway, listening to it if you like... music i guess.
