Blanck Mass - World Eater
i know absolutely nothing about post or electro-industrial (which is what this is tagged as on RYM) but what i do know is that this album goes hard as balls. to my uneducated ears it just sounds like IDM with a few abrasive moments and noise walls thrown in here and there, but overall it's still very melodic in it's structuring. i wouldn't complain had they went deeper into the noise side of things, but i'd be nit-picking if i said i cared, cause at the end of the day this is just full of straight bangers.

Ooh I like **** Buttons, I forgot about them. Last thing I listened to was Slow Focus, I think.
Rythmes Contemporains is cinematic 70s jazz funk opulence (because I like feeling as though I'm constantly living in a bad 1970s crime movie), and No More Dreams is fairly standard but pleasant ethereal droney dream-fuzz-- nothing spectacular, but I like it. It's like walking through an underwater 1980s shopping mall in a dream in slow-motion. And I'm more fond of Janko Nilovic's Soul Impressions overall, personally; I just overplayed it recently is all. This one is an eternal favorite; I play it in plug a lot. I actually hadn't heard of Muslimgauze till I listened to them on the Nightlands compilation very recently. And this has been my go-to bedtime album for the past few months; I saw you posted it in the other forum the other day. I can't remember if I posted it in this thread before or not and I am too lazy to check. |

Craziest goddamn album going - insane compositions, sort of like Astral Weeks on acid, or I guess the more avant-garde side of Scott Walker - but really it's in its own field. Buckley's vocals are incredible, he has such a crazy range and performs operatic somersaults all over the joint whilst keeping his rugged American cool. Best thing I've heard in ages.
