King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Murder of the Universe

When I woke up this morning I was hit with the realization that an album I was highly anticipating was coming out today. When I looked at Spotify, it said that King Gizzard had released a new album and it was certainly great, but I now realize that it was Ex Eye's debut that I was excited about. And it certainly lived up to expectations.

Colin Stetson's new group with Greg Fox (Liturgy, Zs, Guardian Alien) on drums. I guess the best way to describe it would be expansive black/post-metal with strong minimalist tendencies coupled with noisy and jazzy undertones. I think you'd like it. If not, definitely check out Stetson's solo work.

That sounds interesting. I will have to check it out. I listened to Stetson for the first time with his new album all this I do for glory.

I honestly wasn't too hot on that one, but I could imagine liking it a lot more if I wasn't familiar with his style. What'd you think about it?

Just how different it was. Unique. I've never delved into that side of music so it was fun hearing something new.
