Opeth - Morningrise

One of my favorite Opeth albums. I believe the acoustic sections are done much better on this album then any of the others.

Red is one of the greatest albums ever... and Starless is my favourite ever song.

I'd have to agree on that. Morningrise is probably my fav Opeth album.

Morningrise. What I seem to remember is that Tracks 1 and 2 were awesome and the acoustic parts of the REALLY long track (4??) were great. I thought 3 and 5 were a little weaker.

Belle and Sebastian - Push Barman To Open Old Wounds

So many hidden gems in this compilation (Photo Jenny, Legal Man, Jonathan David, the list goes on....). Really wish I gave it a chance long ago...

I will be. Apart from their classic debut this is my first jump into KC land, so if this is one of their worst and I like it, I am going to be enthralled by the rest.

Draconian - Turning Season Within

If you love Draconian you will love this album. The production was phenomenal compared to past albums and the heavy chugging riffs are 10x heavier on this album along with the grunts. I was hoping Draconian wouldn't recycle their past albums and they didn't with this one. Seasons Apart is a great album opener and I personally thought it was their best album opener.

I generally don't bother with compilations but I actually listen to this regulaly 'cause it's got some of my favourite B&S songs

I'm digging Toxocara's The Great Rebellious, it's solid AS. Brutal and raw in a way that touches you almost to the point of ecstasy, it's also got a very "vintage" feel to it. Very straightforward, but in a good way.

MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
i generally dont like dance/electro pop but this group layers that with sparks-like vocals, good harmonies, incredible string band psych-folk, and a little jaggerlite in parts. the first 5 tracks are great but it falls off.

Gorkys Zygotic Mynci - How I Long To Feel That Summer In My Heart
its always a toss up for me between this record and wilcos yankee hotel foxtrot for album of the decade. lately i keep coming back to this record though.

Michael Jackson - Thriller
i will forever be a slave to the amazingness of this record. billie jean is one of the fews perfect tracks ever made
