i honestly don't understand why Zen Arcade is the only Huskers album to have a lasting fanbase, this is just as awesome and with less filler.

i was pretty underwhelmed with Damned Damned Damned so i didn't know what to expect. spot of brilliance, i have no clue why more early punk acts didn't sound like this.

I actually think Candy Apple Grey is their best album, there's no filler whatsoever. Flip Your Wig and New Day Rising are brilliant though.

I have to agree with that. I've always liked Candy Apple Grey - there's not a song on there that I don't like.

Monster - R.E.M.

I like this album for it's raw rock sound. "Strange Currencies", "Crush With Eyeliner", and of course "What's the Frequency, Kenneth" are my personal favourites from this album at the moment

Hey to continue the REM vibe... really digging New Adventures in HiFi tonight.... blends that raw Monster sound and attitude, blends it with the subtlety of previous releases and it makoes for a freaking great album with a really plively, well rounded feeling... love it! And I also love Monster to death as well... these are prime edamples of overlooked great REM albums IMO.

Got this early thanks to Kirby, in my opinion it's his best work so far.

I have to second that comment. Couldn't say it better myself! I really like NAIHF right now, it's been growing on me

I think it blends the raw Monster sound with the type of vibe found on Automatic for the People. But that's just my opinion

Favourite tracks: Low Desert, Undertow, How the West Was Won, E-Bow the Letter.

The cover is just great too, don't cha think? lol

Hooook it up. Along with all the others you've sent. Thanks again. I saw him live in Boulder, CO a couple years ago. Seriously - one of the best hip-hop shows I've been to.

Burning Down...I always loved the cover art to NAIHF.... reminded me of a place I used to pass through en route to a favorite vacation destination! Aside from that the album has so many travel overtones... it suits the music great. Still one of my favorite REM albums, could be considered a real sleeper in their back catalogue.
