Music Banter - Albums You're Digging II

I'm not huge on buying soundtracks on vinyl, but I've had this one for awhile and it honestly just gets better every single time I hear it. I'm sure of the reason I love it so much is because of how great I found the movie to be, but I'll be damned if this doesn't have some of my favourite renditions of classic folk songs. Oscar Isaac's Hang Me, Oh Hang Me, Green, Green Rocky Road and The Death of Queen Jane are the ****.

I sing the sh*t out of this album in the car. Favorite to sing is "Last Thing on My Mind" funny enough.

500 Miles for me.....this soundtrack has basically been played at least once a week in my car since i first saw the film opening weekend :)

and for the record

i still love Joy Division....both albums

and the new Pity Sex album is easily in my top two of the year

I love their first album but was hesitant of a sophomore slump, you've reassured me.

Noonday Underground - Surface Noise

If you like The Avalanches you'll like this very comparable but also much more relaxing and chill album.

It's like if Jawbreaker was british and dug the trends coming out of their scene at the time. Basically one of the greatest things ever. Poppy and sprawling with texture.

Oh, and apparently they have two bass players.
