He occasionally has good taste though. Plus, even if you don't like he vocals that is some mad guitar work.

The Pixies - Head Carrier

I almost put this in "Unpopular music opinions" as it's getting panned on RYM right now by angry Pixies fans wielding torches and pitchforks, but I'm genuinely digging this album. I wasn't expecting another Doolittle, my expectations were low tbh but I'm pleasantly surprised. It's tricky when a band has a much-loved opus of albums and then releases another one much later - some fans consider the discography as it is as sacred and any later addition to be sacrilegious.

Well of course. Any band that brings to mind both The Talking Heads and The Fall on first listen can only be great.

Also if you dig The Fall, check out Mark Wynn.

I listened to The Fall first. This Nation's Saving Grace was good, didn't blow me away or anything, but they seem to have a pretty eclectic discography so I'm going to give them a fair bit of time.
