Local Natives - Sunlit Youth I've come to finally enjoy Local Natives again, I was wary that their second record was the end to a promising band. Certainly a sophomore slump, but with this record they come back with solid pop tunes and wonderfully sung lyrics. Except Fountains Of Youth, I skip that song every time. In the bucket of records that'll make my top 25 this year. Edit: this sleeve might end up in the worst album covers thread.

Jeffery by Young Thug honestly never heard anything from this guy before (Ive heard of Barter 6 and Black Portland but never listened to them). then I saw the album cover and was sold on at least a listen. but yea this is quite good stuff. not a bad track here, which is probably going to make me backtrack and listen to those other mixtapes ive been missing out on. I think "Pop Man" is my fav song as of now, but I think most of this album will show up on my driving playlist. |

Keaton Henson - Kindly Now Currently my favorite singer/songwriter. I always seem to listen to him in bouts of depression which certainly doesn't make it much better for how melancholy and occasionally downright devastating some of the songs are but his albums always have great flow and transform into different things by the end. Really enjoying his newest album. |
