There is so much great stuff being released on Tzadik that it's really hard to follow.
Here tunes from the Masada songbook are being played by a big band and it's ****ing smoking. Amazing arrangements and some incredible solos make this one of the best Book Of Angels releases, which really says something.

Ground Zero - Consume Red (1997)
(Experimental Rock, Noise Rock, Turntable Music, Noise, Avant-Garde Jazz, Drone)

With a run time of 57 minutes for a single track I was a bit hesitant to listen to this. Kept it in my backlog for the past week. I finally decided to listen to it and wow. In the first few minutes I was mildly annoyed, but then it started growing on me endlessly. I became hypnotized after awhile and felt the need to get off the internet and to experience the music completely. It's not often I feel the need to completely focus on the music like that. It turned out to be a transcendent experience. Biggest turnaround from an initial impression I've had in a long time. Good stuff.

Gone is Gone

Spoiler for huge image:

The Mastodon, Queens of the Stone Age and At the Drive-In supergroup.

Not realizing it was an EP when I bought it, I was so disappointed when it ended so early but I love this EP for what it is.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

My high school indie years are slowly taking over my soul yet again.

You either have listened or will listen to Death Cab For Cutie's "Plans" if what you say is correct.

I just listened to it a few days ago. Front to back. I'm not kidding. You're creeping me out now.

Anthrax - For All Kings (2016)

I'm shocked that I've never really listened to Anthrax before because this album is fantastic. I've heard that this isn't even their best work, so that has me excited to hear their earlier albums. Still, a great release in this already great year for music.
