This chick's voice (and lyrics) blow my fucking mind. Not to mention HudMo and OPN's seering electro production equals one of the best listens of the year.

What kind of music is it?

OK. I'm moving this album up the queue. I'm on B right now and can't wait until H to hear this.

If you've heard of Antony & the Johnson's, the person singing is Antony. Goes by Anohni now. Beautiful voice. She's opted for electronic instrumentals instead of a traditional band structure that she's done her whole career. The whole record is basically one long protest song about the Obama administration and being blown up from drone warfare. Just listen to it, and her prior music with the Johnson's.

I listened to it last night, and I'm still thinking about it this morning.

I can't say enough how incredibly pleased I am with this album. One of my biggest complains about their past 2 albums was how they seemed to settle into a "Radiohead-ness" and put themselves on auto-pilot. It really seems like they were digging deep for this album, and it shows. It's the first Radiohead album in years that makes me want to put it on repeat just to discover all the subtle stuff going on in these songs.

GFOTY - VIPOTY [EP] (2016)

YES! Very good EP which brings a nice blend of high pitched bubblegum vocals, flashy production and some insane bass driven beats at times. 'Poison' is the best track of the year.

I miss whimsical, bombastic, electronic Radiohead. In Rainbows was the end of their prime IMO.

The new album is nice and all, but I'm always obsessed with rhythmic, engaging, dance-able stuff. (IE: two of my favorite albums of recent history are Syro and AMOK).
